Welcome, and thank you for visiting our web site. We are a maritime company rooted in the city of Imabari, a hub of maritime activity, and have been engaged in ship ownership and marine transport across generations.

As you may know, Japan is an island nation surrounded by the sea on all sides. The vessels we own serve as indispensable and essential means of transportation in our daily lives.

Historically, ships have been irreplaceable, with their fundamental structure remaining largely unchanged since ancient times, such as the era of the envoys to the Sui dynasty. As long as there are oceans on Earth, international maritime transport—our field of work—will remain a vital social infrastructure.

For thousands of years, the international shipping industry has supported global prosperity as the backbone of humanity and the world. Even during times of inflation or logistical disruption, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, it has continued to provide efficient, affordable, and large-scale transport, acting as the unsung hero of the global economy and industry.

We have overcome many trials—postwar recovery, the oil shock, the Plaza Accord, the Lehman crisis, major earthquakes, and pandemics—to reach where we are today. In recent years, geopolitical risks have become increasingly apparent, and the world faces growing uncertainty and opacity.

While globalization advances, we also see a shift toward nationalism and protectionism, along with geopolitical and economic fragmentation. With the rise of transformative technologies such as AI, the pace of change is accelerating, making future predictions increasingly difficult.
