Imabari City in Ehime Prefecture is home to many shipowning companies, said to hold 30% of Japan’s oceangoing vessels. These “Ehime Owners” are recognized alongside Greek and Hong Kong shipowners as key players in the global maritime industry.
Doun Kisen began in 1963 with just one vessel. Today, we operate a fleet of over 160 ships and have grown into a top-tier shipowner supporting global shipping.
Our vessels, including 300,000-ton class container ships and tankers, serve various purposes and traverse the world’s oceans, supporting global logistics and infrastructure. Our role is to monitor their journeys, collaborate with international staff, and ensure safe operations.
