Crude Oil Transportation via Alternative Routes Amid Tensions in the Strait of Hormuz
As tensions in the Strait of Hormuz rise due to the U.S.-Iran conflict, our vessel, PACIFIC ANNA, has successfully completed the transport and discharge of crude oil at a refinery in Shikoku.
To mitigate risks associated with the Strait of Hormuz, the cargo was originally loaded at the Port of Yanbu, Saudi Arabia, on the Red Sea coast. It was subsequently transferred to our vessel via Ship-to-Ship (STS) transfer operations off the coast of Malaysia before being delivered to Japan.
We believe that the successful completion of this operation—maintaining safe navigation and ensuring reliable maritime transport even amidst unstable international conditions—is a testament to our social responsibility and our mission as a shipowner to support Japan's energy infrastructure behind the scenes.
As a shipowner dedicated to the essential task of securing a stable energy supply both domestically and internationally, we remain committed to conducting our business operations with unwavering reliability and integrity.
